Costa Cruises Ships


Costa Cruises currently have a fleet of 12 ships with three ships scheduled to join the fleet between 2009 and 2010.

The current fleet consists of Costa Marina, Costa Classica, Costa Allegra, Costa Romantica, Costa Victoria, Costa Atlantica, Costa Europa, Costa Mediterranea, Costa Fortuna, Costa Magica, Costa Concordia and Costa Serena.

Costa Cruises have three ships scheduled to arrive between 2009 and 2010 with Costa Luminosa due to enter service in May 2009, Costa Pacifica in June 2009 and Costa Deliziosa in 2010.

The latest addition to the Costa fleet is Costa Serena who entered service for them in 2007. She is the flagship of the cruise line and part of the Concordia Class along with her sister ship Costa Concordia.

In June 2009 Costa Serena will be joined by the third sister ship of the Concordia Class; Costa Pacifica. Her inaugural cruise will see her depart Savona, Italy on 6th June 2009 on an 8 night cruise to France, Spain, Tunisia, Malta and Sicily before returning to Civitavecchia, Italy.

In May 2009 Costa Luminosa will join the fleet as the 13th ship in the Costa Cruises fleet. Her sister ship is to be MS Queen Elizabeth that will operate for Cunard Cruises from March 2010. Costa Luminosa’s first cruise will see her travel out of Venice on a 10 night cruise calling at various destinations in Greece and Turkey before returning to Venice.

Another class of ship for Costa Cruises is the Spirit Class of ship which consists of Costa Atlantica and Costa Mediterranea. The Concordia Class of Ship consists of Costa Concordia, Costa Serena and Costa Pacifica with two more ships expected to join this class of ship in 2011 and 2012.
